Place Survey

Place Survey – Your place, everyone’s borough.

From 29 September and until 19 December 2008, The Walsall Partnership are carrying out a postal survey to find out what residents think about Walsall as a place to live and on the service provided by local public services i.e. Walsall Council, the Police and Fire services, NHS Walsall, housing providers, businesses and the community and voluntary sector.

The 'Place Survey' (0.97MB), which is being carried out at the same time by all local authorities in England and Wales, is being sent out to a random sample of 5,000 households in the borough. Locally it will be used to identify what residents think we are doing well, where we need to improve, as well as thoughts on what the priorities are for the services we provide. Importantly it will help us track our progress against or Local Area Agreement (LAA). The LAA represents a commitment by partners to work together to deliver on key priorities towards making Walsall a great place to live, work and invest. These results will be used by central government to check out Walsall’s progress from residents’ perspective.

Leading market researchers Ipsos MORI are undertaking the survey on behalf of the Walsall Partnership. All information collected will be treated in complete confidence and the results will be analysed and reported independently.

We urge those 5,000 households who directly receive a survey to return it as soon as possible to Ipsos MORI.

Results from this survey will be published in early 2009

Haven’t received a survey but still want to comment?
