Comprehensive Area Assessment

Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) is a new way of assessing how effectively local partnerships are working together to deliver local people's priorities. It's a joint assessment made by a group of independent watchdogs about the performance of local public services.

More information about CAA can be found on the Audit Commission's website.

CAA Workshop: 15 May 2009

Walsall Partnership held a half day event at St Paul's at the Crossing to provide partners with information about the CAA process. This included an overview of CAA from our Audit Commission lead inspector, Birmingham's experience of the CAA trial, a look at the findings from the Place Survey, the links between CAA and the Local Area Agreement, and the implications of CAA on equality and diversity. More details and copies of the presentations can be found on the CAA Workshop: 15 May 2009 webpage.

Performance

More details about the performance management frameworks that support CAA, including the performance of the measures in the National Indicator Set, can be viewed on the Performance webpage.
