Who are we?
We give parents and carers of children with special educational needs free, impartial and confidential information and advice and aim to help parents and carers make the right choices for their children.
We give information about:
- How to get your child’s special educational needs assessed
- Statements
- The Special Educational Needs Code of Practice
- Parents’ rights and responsibilities, and who you can talk to about your child
- Meetings and reviews about your child
- What you can do if you are not happy with a decision about your child’s special educational needs.

Steering group
Walsall Parent Partnership Service (PPS) now has a steering group that works with the PPS and the local authority to support policy, practice and development of the service. The group, which has broad representation including a majority of parents/carers and a parent chair, met for the first time in November 2008. The terms of reference for the group, job description for members and the chair and notes of the meetings are available on our steering group page.
