Parking problems
To prevent on-street parking at strategic locations and areas of acute congestion, the Traffic Management Team will investigate and where considered necessary, implement a Traffic Regulation Order in order to mark the road with yellow lines. These can be either double yellow lines which makes it illegal to park on the highway at any time, or single lines which prohibit parking at various times of the day, which are indicated on time plates affixed to adjacent lighting columns and poles.
The police and police traffic wardens are responsible for the enforcement of Traffic Regulation Orders usually by way of a Fixed Penalty Notice.
