Up and coming community consultation

For us to understand how we can help improve Walsall as a place to live work and play, we may occasionally ask for your help. This section will let you know of any community consultation we are currently undertaking as well as previous results.

Willenhall: the plan

The council and Walsall Housing Group are now preparing 'Willenhall: the plan' to continue the transformation of Willenhall in the coming years.

'Willenhall: the plan' aims to develop a deliverable Vision that will look at:

  • Developing new family housing
  • New businesses and innovation centre
  • Bigger and better town centre
  • New school, parks and arts venue
  • New rail service and local station

It is important that the plan is shaped by local residents, and businesses and organisations. There will be a series of community workshops, the first workshop will be held on Tuesday 3 February from 18:00 – 20:00 at the CHART building Gomer Street, Willenhall:

Community engagement group

  • 6.15pm - Registration
  • 6.30pm – 6.45pm - Introduction to the project, our observations, purpose of the workshop
  • 6.45pm – 7.30pm - Group discussion focusing on aspirations, issues, heritage, community and neighborhood needs
  • 7.30pm – 7.45pm - Summary of discussions

Come and speak to the team, find out about Willenhall: the plan and have your say about the future of Willenhall.
