Consumer Education
Trading Standards offers a varied service on education from Primary School through to Voluntary and Local Groups in the Community. All services of education from Trading Standards is free of charge. We are able to deliver the sessions to suit the group whether it be in the daytime or evening.
Trading Standards schools education programme is worked within the guidelines of the the Governments Every Child Matters paper. Our education programme fits into several aspects of the Every Child Matters including the following:
- Achieve Economic Wellbeing - Engage in in further education, employment and training on leaving school.
- Make a positive contribution - Engage in law abiding and positive behaviour in and out of school.
- Enjoy and Achieve - Achieve personal and social development enjoy recreation.
- Stay Safe - Safe from crime and anti-social behaviour in and out of school.
- Be Healthy - Healthy lifestyles.
