Transforming Walsall's districts

Walsall Council understands that to build a thriving borough improvements must be made not only in the town centre but within Walsall’s district and neighbourhood centres.

The Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) programme is a 10-15 year view of development in Walsall’s district centres, addressing the long term vision.

The SRF builds on and complements the statutory planning framework (the Unitary Development Plan and the future Local Development Framework) by focussing on projects to deliver sustainable social, economic and environmental regeneration.

The SRF programme does not cover Walsall town centre itself, which is addressed by the Walsall Regeneration Company, but wraps round the town centre to provide comprehensive and integrated coverage of the borough. The SRF programme has been divided into a number of phases:

Phase 1

Phase 2 - known as SRF1 programme

Phase 3

Phase 4
