The new flagship Visitor Centre, to be located on the Centre Green will be a showcase, innovative building based on environmentally friendly and sustainable facilities. The building will house the following facilities / services, providing and invaluable resource for park users:
- A high quality information point and staffed reception
- Extensive formal and informal education activities provided in a modern high quality educational classroom
- Versatile meeting spaces appealing to a wide range of groups and audiences
- High quality accessible toilet facilities including baby change and feeding area
- Changing rooms to support watersports activities on Hatherton Lake
- Accommodation for the Arboretum staff team
- High quality café facility at the heart of the park with indoor seating area and external terraced decking
