Training and Development

Our staff are at the heart of our council. We are committed to ensuring each employee has the opportunity to continuously learn, develop and achieve. The council has introduced the leadership and employee training and development programme, which is designed to support the continued development of a competent, skilled and confident workforce.

In addition, we offer a variety of opportunities for staff development, some of which include:

We operate an Individual Performance Management (IPM) scheme. The scheme allows council objectives to be cascaded down to members of staff, in which through the Individual Performance Management process, individual targets and development plans can be discussed and set and any training needs identified in order to achieve desired goals.
